Comments: Immigrated to United States 30 May 1912 at age 5. Traveled aboard the S.S. Hellig Olav, with mother and brother Arvid (Yosta) (age 2). Would have taken the Titanic, but did not have the money in time. Family made it, the Titanic did not. Reunited with father, Adolph, in Naugatuck, Connecticut where Adolph had found work. Svea and Arvid are listed on the Wall of Immigrants at Ellis Island.
